Beautiful VINTAGE Handmade Large Wild Mallard Duck Cross Stitch CUSTOM FRAMED

Description

This beautiful needlework picture is quite substantial and measures approximately 20.5 inches in width and  about 22.5 inches tall.  It was meticulously stitched from a 1973 Columbia Minerva design.  It features male and female Mallard ducks in a reeded area of a lake. The piece is stitched on a rich caramel color fabric that looks like a silk blend of some kind, but I can't really tell, because it has been custom framed and sealed. It appears to be a very high quality fabric.   The embroidery colors are just beautiful, a colorful mix you would expect to see in the 1970's.  There are loads of bright oranges, greens, teals, and blues, all vibrant and fresh, protected by the heavy glass.  The frame is a simple solid wood frame, stained a dark chestnut color.
The completed picture is in great vintage condition.  The frame has some minor scuffs from wear, consistent with age.   The cross stitch picture is in wonderful condition - no fading, stains, or holes, still stretched tight.  The paper backing is in good condition with minimal scuffing.  The glass has no cracks or chips and is solidly mounted in the frame.  The hanging wire is well-secured and very substantial, and there should be no problems in terms of providing support for the picture when it hangs.  See photos for more details.
