BUTTERFLY PROFUSION Completed DIMENSIONS Cross Stitch Picture FRAMED Under Glass.
This large piece was completed by "CC" in 4 (presumably April) 2016 (stitched in lower right). It was a either a kit or a pattern from Dimensions, designed by Lori Turoscy, entitled BUTTERFLY PROFUSION. It was done on 14-count Aida cloth, with full and half cross stitches, with liberal contrasting detail for each of the seven multicolored butterflies. The finished design is supposed to be 11" square. It looks very well done and complete.
The wood frame, a flat white, is 18 5/8" square.  It is about 1"  deep, including the slats added to the back. The glass is intact and scratch-free.  The frame has some scrapes to it (see pics), which could be touched up. Better yet, you could use sandpaper to give it a distressed look.
What looks like a matte isn't  -- it's simply a piece of paper that was cut out. So, it needs an acid-free colored matte to further define the cross stitch and to separate it from the glass. Easy fix.
