    MOTHER’S PRAYER QUILT
    What a sizable piece!!!  The kit says 15 x 18, but maybe my mom used another piece of fabric, her fabric is 20 1/8 x 21 1/8”.  The stitched area is 13 1/4 x 16 3/4.  She signed it in the lower left corner.
    “I pray when this quilt you see,
    You will know my wishes and dreams for thee.
    I pray these things I’ve taught you true,
    Because my child I love you.”
    We will be listing many completed cross stitch embroidery pieces over the next several weeks.  These were done by my mother over the past 60+ years.  It was one of her favorite hobbies and she was still making them until last year when her health forbade it.  We came across over 100 pieces, stored in a few different tubs and some that were framed.  Although we selected favorites for her daughters and granddaughters, there are plenty to share with you.  Some are signed, some are not.  She used kits as well as patterns out of books. Some she my have purchased while living in Gettysburg.  I will list the sizes, etc, but I am clearly not an expert, so if you have any questions, please ask.  Thank you for looking.
