Lot of 3 Vintage Hummel  Framed  Finished Cross-Stitch
finished cross stitch...the work done is very nice and tightly stitched...the frames are older and honestly i would just replace them to bring more up to date but thats me
these pieces were rescued at a flea market....the vendor was clueless insisting these were hummel and valuable...lol...after explaining to him that an individual at some point sat down and hand stitched these and tho the work they did was very good they are not a collectible piece of art by hummel per say. with further discussion the guy finally admits that he does cleanouts of estates (which im no stranger to myself...lol) and that he is just trying to make a few bucks...i get it ...everyone wants to make a few bucks i told him and although his time spent working on loading and unloading the items to peddle at the flea market is admirable i explained i just am not willing to part with the unimaginable price he was asking. in the end these did make it in my hands and now will make it to yours!
the frames are not in the greatest shape but are sturdy and would do the job. they do show some wear and im not sure if that was from the original owner or the flea market peddler. at any rate in my opinion the frames could be discarded and the cross stitch themselves saved and re-framed, but again that is just me
