Vintage Colorful COWBOY RODEO CLOWN Cross Stitch- Custom FRAME- Red /Teal/Purple

Description

This is a fantastic completed cross stitch picture of a Rodeo Clown - he has stars in his eyes!  I don't know how old this piece is and I could not locate information on a vintage kit online, but I estimate this is from the 90s based on the color scheme - possibly the 80s.  It features a smiling Rodeo Clown with a colorful teal hat; red, white & blue bandana, a bright purple vest and gold
sheriff
star.  The background is ivory, which really makes the colors pop.
The piece is mounted with a bright red mat positioned to form a diamond, which is unique for these kinds of pieces.  The frame is solid wood - painted off white and textured with teal inner and outer borders that are just wonderful.  I've never seen this frame before - it is perfect for this picture.  It measures 11.5 inches in width and is 11.5 inches in height, a perfect square and a nice small-medium size that will work in a variety of spaces.
The needlepoint canvas is in wonderful vintage condition - no tears, stains, holes or other discoloration, and the colors are still very vivid.  The frame is also in good condition with no significant scratches or chips - a few age-related minor scuffs.  The glass is intact - no cracks or chips.  The paper backing on the piece has some small pin-prick holes, small tears and dings - does not effect the picture at all.  The hanging bracket is tight and secure.
